What are the Panelties if Berhad fails to hold Annual General Meeting(AGM)?
Regulations
- According to the Companies Act 2016, a Berhad must hold an AGM every year
- First AGM: can be held within 18 months after the company is incorporated
- Subsequent AGMs: must be held within 15 months after the previous AGM ends
- If a Berhad fails to hold an AGM on time, it can be fined up to RM20,000
Sdn Bhd AGM
- Holding an AGM is not mandatory for Sdn Bhd; it is only held when necessary
